I liked sleeping in my mommy and daddy's room. I would go to bed in my old bed, but then in the middle of the night I would go over to Mommy and Daddy's room and sleep on a "cushion" on their floor. One night Daddy told me that if I slept in my bed for 5 nights in a row, he would make me a "bunk bed"...he calls it a "loft bed", but I told him I'm calling it a "bunk bed". Mommy made me a sticker chart to keep track and I filled it up! I slept in my old bed for 5 nights in a row.
On Father's Day, we went to the store. Daddy picked up all the wood and I picked the paint...PINK!!!! (My favorite color.) He started working on it. This weekend he surprised me when I came home from a night at Grandmom and Poppop's. It was set up in my room. I LOVE IT!!!!
I was nervous about climbing to the top at first, but it didn't take me (or Ian) long to figure it out. We can both go up and down the ladder all by ourselves!
Mommy and Daddy are going to add a marker board to the end for me and also put up some fabric to make it like a tent underneath.
Did I mention, I LOVE MY NEW BED!!!!???

Look at how lovely your room is! A bed and with an instant play area below! This is a good way of maximizing your room space. Was that your mommy or you daddy’s idea? Be careful in climbing up to your bed. You should always use a proper stairwell or else you might have a bad fall. Take care!
